State Plan for Nebraska
The purpose of the Nebraska Behavioral Health All-Hazards Disaster Response and Recovery Plan is to provide a framework for organizing the behavioral health response to disasters in Nebraska.
Behavioral Health Disaster Response addresses mental health and substance use/abuse issues which may follow a disaster event. Disaster behavioral health services can help mitigate the severity of adverse psychological reactions to the disaster and help restore social and psychological functioning for individuals, families, and communities.
